"A Gratitude Attitude"

Thank You
“Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.”  Psalm 100:4

Do you complain more now than you used to?  Do you find yourself worn down by life?  Do you find yourself wanting more because you feel that you don’t have enough?  Are you surrounded by complainers?  Gratitude is a rare attitude today.  There is much complaining and some rightfully so, but there is very little thankfulness to balance it all out.  The gratitude attitude starts on purpose.  Complaining comes naturally, but gratitude must be done on purpose.  One must train his eye to see good in this life, and teach his mouth to form the words thank you.
You can start having a gratitude attitude today!  Look for some good things and little blessings that come your way and be thankful for them.  Blessings of home are often overlooked because of selfishness, pride, and complaining.  Here is a little poem that could make big changes in your outlook of your home-life:

For mother-love and father-care,
For brothers strong and sisters fair,
For love at home and here each day,
For guidance lest we go astray,
Father in heaven, we thank thee.

For this new morning with its light,
For rest and shelter of the night,
For health and food,
For love and friends
For everything Your goodness sends,
Father in heaven, we thank thee.

Why don’t you make a list of ten things that you are thankful for but have not offered thanks to God for them in a while.  Look at that list and think of the difference those few things make in your life.  Imagine your life without them.
Now, right down ten people that you are thankful for and imagine your life without them.  Do you see that you have much to be grateful for and that you must live with a gratitude attitude?  Push out the complaining and teach your heart to be grateful.
