"Redeem the Time"

“From whom the whole body fitly joined together
and compacted by that
which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the
measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of
itself in love.” Ephesians 4:16
God has placed us in a world that
operates on time. He placed lights in
the heavens for times and seasons, and these are unchangeable. We live
in a time oriented world. Day will become night, today will be come
tomorrow, and summer will give way to autumn. Life is moving at a
constant, steady pace. God has ordained this plan. Therefore, time is a
valuable commodity, and falls under the Christian's responsibility of
stewardship.
Most people make a life-crippling mistake when it
comes to time
management. These people choose the spend life in the past, or in the
future. Neither of these places exist in time. When one chooses to live
this way he has chosen to waste today. The past can never be revisited,
and tomorrow is always within reach. To leave each day regretting the
one before, or wishing for a better one to come is foolish! Our days
are what we make them, and the time we have now must be used to build
upon yesterday to make a better tomorrow. Let us march forward through
life using the moment we have before us to do something productive.
Don't waste the "now" on the "when". If you have made a mess of your
life till now, don't waste today with regrets, utilize today to change
your direction. Also, don't use today to dream of a better tomorrow.
Tomorrow's are the product of today!
Remember Paul's words, "this one thing I do,forgetting those things
which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are
before, I press toward the mark." These words are the equivalent to a
"you are here" sign. Take a moment to realize you have been wandering
through this life, and look at the "you are here" sign. As you do, ask
the Lord where He wants you to be, and begin using the time of today to
start the trip. Be a good steward of your time!
