"Pondering the Miracle of Christmas"
“And the Word was made flesh, and
dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory,
the glory as of the only begotten of the
Father,) full of grace and truth.”
A great preacher
once said, "The mystery of the humanity of
Christ, that He sunk Himself into our flesh,
is beyond all human understanding." This
mystery is indeed too hard for us to grasp.
What we do not understand about it, we
simply accept by faith.
Mary and Joseph
were foretold that the Baby would be the Son
of God, and they did not fully grasp the
wonder of God's design. They just obediently
did as they were commanded, and wondered
about the things they were told. Mary kept
every detail of the birth of her firstborn
and pondered them in her heart.
We certainly cannot
grasp the total sum of Almighty God becoming
man. We do not have to! We must just accept
that our God became man and placed Himself
in likeness of a sinful race to save them
from their sins. Rejoice today with the
angel of the Lord, "For unto you is born
this day in the city of David a Saviour,
which is Christ the Lord."
season pause to ponder how marvelous the
length to which Christ went to save you.
Thank Him for the access you have to this
salvation by simple saving faith.
May God richly
bless you. From the depths of my heart, I
wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy
