"Call the Foreman"
“That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:” 1 Peter 1:7
A sign seen in a textile mill: "When your thread becomes tangled, call the foreman." A young woman was new on the job. Her thread became tangled and she thought, "I'll just straighten this out myself." She tried, but the situation only worsened. Finally she called the foreman. "I did the best I could," she said. "No you didn't. To do the best, you should have called me.”
Christian, remember that it is the devil’s main goal to get you to live independent of God. Since the Garden of Eden, the devil has tried to convince man that he can make choices apart from God. God has made His will clearly known, and simply stated. God loves us beyond human comprehension. He has promised to receive any man that will come to Him. He will save on the basis of faith, and He will provide all our needs on the basis of faith. In fact, “without faith it is impossible to please Him.” So Satan works hard at getting us to live independent of God.
When you encounter the tangles of life, call the Foreman! Trust God! “Have faith in God,” Jesus said. In fact, “The just shall live by faith.” Man was made to have a dependent relationship with God, and the devil is guilting, blaming, tempting, and scaring men into living independently. Go to God with everything! Don’t live apart from Him. No matter how big or small the trouble is in your life, call the Foreman!
